Good Practicing Tips

For students around 5-10 years old, begin with 15-20 minutes a day of practice, gradually increasing to 30 minutes, as focus matures. For older students, 30 minutes (or more) is highly recommended.


Warm up your fingers each practice session for about 5 minutes with scales or technical exercises.


When you encounter difficult spots in your music, don’t give up! Spot practice those parts over and over again, and soon, you will find those sections to be as easy as the rest!
