Did you know that recitals and concerts are not just about the students? They are also about the families and the communities for whom the students perform. These special events can create lasting memories, and when paired with the support of an encouraging audience, they can significantly enhance a student's sense of accomplishment and their confidence in public performance.
This shared experience brings students together in one setting, and as most do not have the opportunity to meet and interact during regular music lessons, this fostering of community and belonging can provide a wonderful sense of camaraderie. Together, this serves as motivation for students to strive for excellence, and the self-assessment that accompanies it can be of incredible and lasting value.
You all have worked hard each week, and it shows! I am proud of all that you have accomplished. Keep up the good practicing, and see you on the 13th!
